I absolutely must watch White Christmas, with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. It isn’t the holidays until I’ve seen it several times and am singing the songs in my sleep.
My fav movie is How the Grinch Stole Christmas I love that movie not the jim carey one the cartoon one!!! I bought it this year and my lil man loves watching it just as much!!
I love so many for a family night it would have to be rudolph and for my night it would have to be the christmas shoe…it is cause my mom died last year and it was before xmas ,in fact it was on valintines day she loved the song and the movie we us to sing it together at christmas gatherings at my grand dads…..see what you miss out on when a mom dies ….my kids don’t get to see her and she does not see them grow up…
The season hasn’t officially started until I watch “Christmas Vacation.” It always reminds me to at least try to keep a sense of humor about the things that inevitably go wrong around the holidays.
Absolutly by far, Polar Express. I don’t know what it is….but I just get so giddy! can’t stand it…and i too watch it over and over. We watch it on Christmas Eve after we do our gingerbread contest. It’s so much fun….great book and movie. ♥
It wouldn’t be Christmas without Charlie Brown!
My favorite holiday movie is Fred Claus now…but for nostalgia, we will go with Charlie Browns Xmas.
It’s A Wonderful Life!! TY for giving your readers this opportunity!
Every year we watch A Christmas Story…as many times as I can catch it on! It’s so funny and makes us laugh just as much, if not more, with every viewing!
The Leg Lamp, Hounds in the kitchen, kids fighting, bundled up like a “tick”, tongues frozen to flagpoles and just wanting/needing/having to get that BB-Gun!!! PRICELESS! LOL
Thanks for the fun contest Raelynn!
It is not Christmas until I have watched Christmas Story. It’s something I started watching with my Dad when I was young and now doing it with my own children. It’s just funny and brings back so many memories for me of my childhood.
I love “It’s a Wonderful Life”…cause it really is!! and we should all be reminded of that!
It’s gotta be “A Christmas Story”..we call the dogs
next door the Bumpus hounds. Also have to watch “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” (original animated version)
“I believe…I believe…I believe….”
–Natalie Wood, “Miracle on 34th Street”
My favorite ever!
I just LOVE “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, not the annimated one, the one with Jim Carrey! I love the part when it flashes back to when the Grinch was a child in school and he made a metal angel topper. I love this movie because it reminds me as well as my daughter (one day when she gets old enough…she is only 10 months old right now) that Christmas is NOT about the toys that you get, it’s about the time with family that you get to spend together, to enjoy each other company, and be thankful that you have each other and can spend Christmas together because God allowed Jesus to be born, live, and die for our sins, so we COULD be together every chance we blessed with.
I do also have to say that “a Christmas Story” is an all time favorite as well! I watch it EVERY time it comes on, ESPECIALLY with they have the 24 hour marathon, over and over again!!!! “You’ll shoot your eye out!” My husband’s favorite part is when the Dad gets that “leg lamp”…too funny!
ok so call me corny but i love watching home alone every thanksgiving…my own tradition!
My favorite Holiday movie is It’s A WOnderful Life.
