Ok, now to the next and FINAL giveaway…This Box-Set of 5 CD’s titled “Tired of Nagging?  Get Your Kids to Cooperate.“  Compliments of Susan P. Epstein, LCSW, Parent Life Coach.  Check out her other products at parentingpowers.com.  This is more than a $400 Value!  You cannot miss out on this one!

My thought of the day:  As you may or may not know from previous posts, I have two boys…a 4-year old and a 5-year old.  They are polar opposites in most ways.  One is high-maintenance, one is laid back.  One is artistic, one is more about wrestling and rough-housing.  One loves competitive sports, the other hates playing against people because he will risk losing.  We’ve had a lot of challenges over the past 5+ years, and I know we have many many more to come.  There are a couple phases that have been extremely difficult for us, causing us to actually research the answers to our questions.  One was that our first born had tons of sleep issues…always crying, never falling asleep unless he was being held and rocked (although, in hindsight, I’m certain we created this issue).  The second biggest issue we’ve had so far is the tantrums.  If there is a Guinness Book record for longest and loudest temper tantrum, I am certain that my 5-year old would have won!

This leads to my next question

Whether you have kids or not, I would love to hear what your issues or questions have been?  If you have kids, what were your biggest challenges?  If you don’t have kids, but spend time with some one else’s kids, you must have things you’d like to vent about.  Just post it here.

If you have a Twitter account, and you want additional entries, just re-tweet and comment here about it.

The deadline for giveaway #11 entry is 11:59pm EST, Thursday February 12th, 2009.  To review the rules of our giveaway, please CLICK HERE.

2009 New Year Giveaway #9

January 24, 2009 · Posted in Contests · 2 Comments

We’re up to our 9th giveaway!  I hope everyone is enjoying their prize winnings.  We have had some fantastic items to give away.

But first…

Congratulations to the winner of our most recent After Holiday Giveaway!

We heard some great ideas for ways we can all relax and de-stress our lives.  Our 8th Giveaway Winner is “The Mom Jen” who  relaxes by slipping under the covers with a magazine and some chocolate.  mmmmmm, chocolate.  Jen will be receiving Crystal Wine Charms, compliments of Juli from www.moonstarj3.etsy.com and www.moonstarj3.blogspot.com

Ok, now to the next giveaway…

Our next giveaway is for:  A Gift Certificate for a FREE Personalized Birthday CD, compliments of Victoria from www.kidspersonalizedmusic.net.  ($25 Value).

What a cool gift for a child.  Kids love to hear or read their names in books and CDs.  What a great idea and a great thing to try to win for any child’s upcoming birthday.

My thought of the day:  The recent election has been a whirlwind.  So many emotions from so many people.  Some are negative and some are positive, but thankfully I have heard mostly positive.  This is the first election where I was thrilled with the presidential selection.  I actually watched some of Inauguration day for the first time ever.  I remember thinking how exhausted Michele and Obama must be after that very long day of ceremonies and balls.  For some reason I just feel so differently with this president.  He seems more human to me.  I have high hopes for Obama and look forward to see how he fixes the mess our country is in.

This leads to my next question

Did you feel any strong emotions (either negative or positive) on election day or on Inauguration day?  I would love to hear about it.

The deadline for giveaway #9 entry is 11:59pm EST, Wednesday January 28th, 2009.  To review the rules of our giveaway, please CLICK HERE.

‘What are you thankful for?’ CONTEST WINNER

November 30, 2008 · Posted in Contests · 1 Comment

Our Thanksgiving Contest has come to an end!  It was a very nice and easy first contest for me to run.  We used Random.org to pick the winner.

Cynthia Powell is the winner of our very first contest giveaway.  Cynthia owns Chicks & Cubs, a great place to find unique baby keepsakes including baby shoe bronzing, as well as an enormous amount of child safety products.

It is so nice to meet other Moms and learn about them and their families.  I highly recommend visiting Cynthia’s site and be sure to visit her Loot4Mama Giveaway

Cynthia will be able to shop at Kidz Comfort and pick out her free toddler size travel pillow

Please be sure to visit us often.  We will be launching a much larger giveaway in the next few days.  We were fortunate enough to receive quite a few great gift items to giveaway!  STAY TUNED.

‘What are you thankful for?’ CONTEST

With Thanksgiving fast approaching, our kids are talking about what they are thankful for.  It is always a subject this time of the year in their schools.  I look forward to seeing what they’ve created just prior to Thanksgiving showing exactly what they are thankful for.

At my 4-yr old’s pre-school, he made such a cute little picture with his quote “I am thankful for my new sneakers.”  They always make me chuckle.  But, at the same time, I want to make sure they realize how fortunate we really are.  We talk about how fortunate we are to have each other, a roof over our heads and we are not hungry like others may be.

I am thankful for my family.  They truly make me want to be a better person.  I try hard to be a good person every single day…for them.

With this in mind, I thought what better way to to kick off the upcoming Holidays than to start up a contest.  Just leave me a comment stating what you are thankful for and you will be entered to win a toddler size travel pillow.  You can also subscribe to our newsletter to enter.

Entries must be received by midnight EST Wednesday, November 26th.  A winner will be randomly chosen before Friday, November 28th at midnight EST.

We hope to hear from you!  And good luck.
